Hi Everyone,
Wow, I saw a robin Wednesday & got all excited! The horses are shedding & I thought spring was right around the corner. I could tell spring was almost here because I am all flooded & muddy at the farm. I had high hopes it would get windy & sunny & then I would dry up in 3 days. But, big BUT, then I woke Thursday & it is snowing & here it is 8:00 AM Friday & it is still snowing. I knew it would be a rough winter because of the wooley bears but enough is enough.
I got Facebook. But I do not know how to use it very well & it is a shot in the dark if I can read & respond to what you say to me. So just email me. I do not think FB & I are going to make it.
So, the show is coming along just great. I have 28 horse stalls spoken for. That means people have reserved but not paid for their stalls. People do this so they can reserve where they want to be. Please let me hear from you & you will go on my list!! Remember, payment secures your stalls!! Payment is due in April but your checks will not be cashed until the Monday after the show.
Our hotel of choice is the Days Inn on Rt 33 in East Windsor. Their room rate, including breakfast, is under $90. Their cutoff date is April 12th. Just ask for the Palomino show rate. If you have a problem, give me a call & I will solve it.
All of our forms are on the web site so please peruse that place to get your nominations in asap.
And, as usual, I am asking for help in running our show. How to help, you ask. Well, money always works!! Rudy’s Gamebirds LLC of Skillman, NJ (609.333.8858) has offered to feed our judges for both shows. That is a big undertaking as our judges go to the food vendor a lot as his food is really good. You could sponsor a class, help set up the trail class, copy the judges cards for the results book, make sure the judges have water, help the gate person get everyone in the class on time, run the results from the ring to the secretary, count campers & give that result to me, man the ribbon room, you could bring a non Palomino for our walk/jog & walk/trot classes (fund raiser for the youth) & you could sponsor a class. Like I said, money is always a very good thing.
Let me hear from you. Keep your fingers crossed that this weather will pass. Be well.
